The Monaco Yacht Show is the most prestigious yachting event of the year. With over 500 exhibitors comprising of ship-builders and designers, equipment suppliers, brokers and service providers all using the event to display their latest technologies and network, the Monaco Yacht Show is widely regarded as the calendar event for anyone in the superyacht industry.
Last year the 100 superyachts in attendance ranged in size from 25 metres to in excess of 90 metres. There was a mix of new build and second-hand yachts with the new build yachts showcasing the latest developments in marine technology and design with the second-hand yachts either for sale or as part of the ever increasing super yacht charter fleet.
It is a condition of attendance at the Monaco Yacht Show that the same yacht cannot appear at the show for consecutive years and Monaco Yacht Show 2013 will be no different. This is certainly a sign of an industry which continues to defy economic logic.
